It's strange, though... Ryuji told me he saw the Hunger in the Astral Plane..... but not in human form. Just.... creepy, huge, tentacles, darkness, slowly advancing.
I've been doing a lot of research and trying to figure it out... but I don't know.... I just know that wherever it was, it was... on a different plane of reality, probably.... and I know I wasn't supposed to be there.
It could be two aspects of the same thing. [Just a guess, but not something he's entirely unfamiliar with.] Different aspects for different levels of existence.
If you assume the Hunger is some sort of anomaly--that it shouldn't exist in the ways it does--then you can assume reality would have problems handling it. Since Faerun has so many different planes of existence with different rules, those rules would interpret an anomaly like that in different ways. No one aspect is an exact representation, but the more you see, the closer you get to a complete picture.

Soo...... because we were thrown off into another realm of reality, it appeared as a creepy guy in a business suit? Because it's the closest representation to what it is? A villain from a kid's show?
Maybe. It's a bunch of weird tentacles, too. [He isn't going to say it's more or less anything.] We know some aspect of it is intelligent. That's worth remembering.
Or if we can manipulate it. Harder to manipulate somethin' that can't think. [Unless they want to distract it with other universes to eat to buy time somehow, but that wouldn't sit well with Sans even if it was possible.] More info is better, no matter what kind of info it is.
