PHYSICAL CHANGES | MENTAL CHANGES |
⇁ Entire skeletal structure glows, the insides having been hollowed out and filled with liquid magic. Default color is cyan, but the color may change in response to stress or other stimuli. Sans can adjust the brightness but never turn it off entirely. Brighter glowing can be used as a self-soothing technique. The liquid magic in Sans's bones makes his resilience roughly equivalent to a human child. ⇁ Diagonal, glowing blue scar that cuts across his sternum and ribs; now that they're incorporeal, the scar is too, but it still glows more brightly than the rest of his ghost bones. It changes color along with the rest of him, but usually it's cyan. ⇁ Two large, skeletal bird wings with glowing feathers. Can be used for flight. The glowing matches the glowing of his bones, and so while the default color is cyan, they may change color as well. ⇁ Two skeletal bird wings with glowing feathers sticking out of his temples. They're large enough to cover his face if he flaps them. They glow the same as the rest of him. ⇁Two skeletal bird wings growing out of his lower back, about hip height, with glowing feathers. These are large enough to cover his lower body if he wraps them around himself. They pass inexplicably through his main set of wings in defiance of logic and physics. ⇁ Bone halo that hovers just above Sans's skull. Usually looks completely solid, but Sans can open the eye sockets on the halo and see in all directions if he wants to. When open, the eye sockets look identical to the ones on his skull. Will tilt to accommodate various movements and positions, such as tilting forward to allow Sans to lay down without lying on the halo directly. Cannot be separated from Sans; if someone were to tug on the halo, Sans would be tugged along, too. ⇁ Front half of ribcage is no longer physical, appearing as a ghostly blue apparition of a ribcage and sternum. ⇁ Soul visible inside his chest. Sans's soul appears as an upside down white heart with the pointed tip missing and motes of dust trailing off of it (1/10th of the soul is missing). It's encased in an orb of magic that glows the same as the rest of him, although this is the brightest point of glowing on his body. While the orb appears to be glowing from all angles, the soul also inexplicably remains white from all angles. The soul orb is flanked by two stylized wings. In short, he has the top part of the delta rune in his chest. |
⇁ Affinity for graveyards and places people have died. Affinity for objects associated with graveyards and places people have died, tendency to collect things like pieces of gravestones and abandoned graveyard statues. ⇁ Even more interested in astronomy than he already was. ⇁ Tendency to feel that healing is something he's meant to do. Due to loss of 1/10th of a soul, this is much easier to resist when it comes to people he doesn't know being injured. ⇁ When placed under great stress, will have delusions of being a misplaced god of the void. ⇁ Due to missing 1/10th of his soul, his compassion is somewhat dampened. He is more likely to ignore strangers and stay out of dangerous circumstances that don't directly involve people he cares about. It takes more interaction and effort to build up an actual bond with someone rather than just pretending at it. Preexisting relationships are unaffected. |
POWERS | ADDITIONAL INFO |
⇁ Teleportation: ability to teleport intangibly and invisibly from one point to another. Has to know where he's going--having been there is ideal, but it's possible to teleport to somewhere he hasn't been if he can see an image of it or if someone describes it really well, provided he knows where it is in space. Cannot teleport through magical barriers (or NPC-created equivalents). Cannot teleport outside of the canyon. ⇁ Emotion Transfer: ability to transfer strong emotions to others via physical contact. Has to be able to properly imagine the emotion in his mind in order to transfer it; Sans finds it easier to pass on negative emotions. Easier to do with someone he has a strong connection with (can use memories of emotions felt with that specific person to transfer them better). ⇁ Emotion Synchronization: ability to synchronize his emotions to someone else, or to a generalized mood if it's strong enough. Can be done intentionally but also may happen unintentionally when placed under stress or presented with very powerful emotions. Long periods of synchronization with powerful emotions is exhausting--the stronger the feelings, the faster the exhaustion (Sans is not great at dealing with feelings). ⇁ Invisible Arms: Six invisible, intangible skeletal arms with a six-foot reach in all directions around Sans. While invisible they are capable of picking things up with only the strength of Sans's normal arms. They can be filled with magical power. In this state, they glow the same color as Sans's body. In this state, the arms can be used to attack. They pass through the body, doing no physical damage but inflicting small amounts of magical damage very rapidly for as long as they are in contact with whoever they're damaging. Can be blocked via magical/psychic barriers. Cannot be used while teleporting. Does not count as physical contact for Sans's emotion abilities. Drains Sans's energy to use; he will run out of stamina if he uses them for too long and cannot last in a long fight. ⇁ Healing Reload: Ability to heal injuries via "loading" it to the point in time immediately before it was injured. Injuries he heals will cause injury to himself at a slightly reduced rate, and not necessarily in a 1:1 way (a cut on someone's hand may turn onto a bruise on his wing). Healing a lethal injury is very likely to kill Sans. Sans cannot revive the dead. Sans cannot reload a limb unless he has the piece that was cut off to reattach. ⇁ Invisibility and Intangibility: The ability to become invisible and intangible and remain that way. He can take small items with him (phones, etc.) but not people or anything larger than he can physically carry. The longer he remains intangible, the less he wants to return to being tangible. If he remains intangible long enough, he needs an anchor to return to being tangible (a person he's close to or a place he associates with strongly). ⇁ Wall Eyes: What looks like doodles of Sans's eye sockets appear on the walls/ceilings/floors of places he thinks of as his. They look like they're drawn on, but the eyelights inside move and watch anything going by. These function as more eyes for Sans--he can see through them the same as the eyes on his body. Eyes cannot appear on glass/clear surfaces or on objects placed on walls/ceilings/floors (exception: wallpaper), which means that covering up his eyes with a painting or putting a shelf in the way or similar would block them. More eyes appear in an area the more Sans associates it with himself. Penumbrals cannot be seen at all through these eyes. Currently only appear in Sans's house, mostly in his room, but also scattered around the rest of the house. They do not appear in Papyrus's room or workshop or other places in the house that Sans considers more Papyrus's than his. ⇁ Gravity Manipulation: The ability to manipulate the gravitational field of people and things around him. At its most simple it's just increasing or decreasing the gravity of whatever he's using it on, but he can also reverse it, leading to someone floating. Can be used to float objects around at a distance. Cannot just be used to literally crush someone with gravity; if Sans pressed down as hard as possible it would be painful but you could fight against it. The larger the object/person the more difficult it is to manipulate, and the more draining. Maintaining it at length is also exponentially draining. Does not work on himself. Does not work on penumbrals. Cannot be used on very large things; Sans cannot pick up a house or anything. He may be able to push something very big if it's on wheels (and therefore meant for movement), like a car, but it would take a great deal of energy. Sans has to be able to see whatever he's manipulating to pick it up, though once grabbed he could move it out of his field of sight. Sans cannot grab something more than ten feet away from him. |
⇁ Abilities do not work on Penumbrals. ⇁ Abilities are weaker at night. Energy is lower at night. ⇁ Feeds off of emotions and dreams. Does not take the dreams or emotions from anyone when doing this. Has to consciously feed off of emotions; can unconsciously feed off of dreams. Positive dreams and emotions feed him more and better than others. Negative emotions and dreams are better than nothing, but make him feel varying degrees of sick. In general, Sans gets more nourishment from positive emotions and dreams of people he knows well, and feels sicker from negative emotions and dreams of people he knows well. ⇁ INFO ⇁ INFO |
