ok so
i've got some info
i'm sick of dealing with this, how about you guys do it
the thing underground is called okpaza, or the one who waits, and probably a few other names. it wants to eat everybody's souls. you don't want your soul eaten.
there's another thing out in space called the one who writhes in the center. i think it's sitting in place of the black hole that should be at the center of the milky way. it's watching this place i guess.
there might be some anti-okpaza that's made of light or whatever, i dunno, that was kind of vague.
based on the humans that i know about who went into the tunnels, if you go down in there where okpaza is it rips your soul out and your body turns into a weird mushroomy flesh puddle. there's one in a lab but it does stuff like shut down all electronics if you get near it and it might talk to you, so don't go check it out if you're part or all robot. it can also blow out all the windows and get glass everywhere. i dunno if the lab's fixed that yet.
okpaza came from space. this whole canyon is a crater, i checked, there's shatter cones and pseudotachylyte and everything. the lake's the main focal point i think but it's big enough to not really matter except don't go in the lake. there's mind control leeches in the lake anyway so doubly don't go in the lake. some girl scouts got eaten by it going in the lake in 1992.
this whole area is a no fly zone and has been for a long time. one time in the 50s a plane ignored that and flew into a sudden storm that existed only above the canyon. then the pilot saw something and freaked out and crashed. everybody died. from the ground it seemed like the plane just appeared out of thin air. so yeah that's what they mean if you hear somebody who lives here say the air's bad. basically nobody who lives here likes telling people anything specific, it's kind of annoying.
as far as the weird language, some of it has translations now. there's a guy named aaron who works at the museum, he's working on translations so he'll have the most up to date info probably.
there's a lot of quantum weirdness going on. i dunno if any of you know much about that stuff except maybe robotnik, but might as well mention it. we've got weird particles in weird superpositions. like even by the weirdness standards of quantum physics it's weird. they're these little black cells that mutate particles around them like some weird virus. when i tried hitting them with some energy from whatever i am now some of them went away but not all of them. might be worth some other kinds of monsters giving it a shot, but the cells also might just try to eat you or something.
